About Meg
Hi, I'm Megan.
I'm a PhD candidate, university instructor, and marketing and events management professional with a passion for understanding how people, technology, and systems shape our everyday experiences.
My career began in marketing, events management, and project coordination, where I discovered a talent for identifying inefficiencies and creating solutions that improve how organizations operate. Whether implementing new technologies, streamlining workflows, or designing memorable experiences, I've always been driven by a simple question: how can we make things work better?
Today, my academic and professional interests sit at the intersection of communication, technology, human behavior, and innovation. My research explores how people form relationships, build trust, and make decisions in increasingly digital environments. Specifically, I study mental health communication, self-diagnosis on social media, trust in online influencers, and the ways technology shapes romantic relationships and interpersonal communication.
As an instructor, I am passionate about helping students bridge theory and practice by developing the communication, critical thinking, and professional skills needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world. Whether through research, teaching, consulting, or entrepreneurship, I am driven by a desire to better understand human behavior and create solutions that improve how people connect, communicate, and thrive.
What connects all of my work is a systems-oriented mindset. I'm fascinated by how people make decisions, how technologies influence behavior, and how organizations can be designed to function more effectively. Whether I'm conducting research, teaching a classroom, consulting on a project, or developing a new idea, I enjoy identifying gaps, understanding root causes, and creating meaningful solutions.
With an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to lifelong learning, my goal is to build tools, technologies, and strategies that improve outcomes for people, organizations, and communities.
